Privacy notice
Draft for the club to review. This text describes how the website works today. The committee should check it, fill in the bracketed details and approve it before the site goes live.
Who we are
Tewkesbury Cricket Club (“the club”) is responsible for personal information collected through this website. You can contact us about privacy through the contact form by choosing the Club Secretary. [Add the club’s registered address and, if the club has one, its data protection lead.]
What we collect and why
Enquiry and contact forms
When you send an enquiry or message we collect your name, email address, optional phone number and your message. On junior and All Stars enquiries we also ask for your child’s age and age group, so the right coach can reply. We use this only to answer your enquiry. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (responding to people who contact us), and we ask for your agreement before you send.
Sponsorship and shop payments
Payments are taken by Stripe on their secure checkout pages. We receive your name, email address, phone number (shop orders), the package or items you chose and the amount paid. We never see or store your card details. We use this to fulfil your order or sponsorship and to keep financial records, which is necessary to perform our agreement with you and to meet our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
- The club volunteer your message is addressed to (for example a coach or committee member).
- Stripe, who process payments on our behalf.
- Our website host [Vercel], who stores the site and its server logs.
We don’t sell your information or use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
[Confirm retention periods.] Suggested: enquiries and messages for up to 12 months after the last contact; payment records for 6 years for accounting purposes.
Children’s information
Enquiries about children are made by a parent or carer. We ask only for the child’s age and age group. We never publish photographs of named children on this website.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Contact the Club Secretary through the contact form. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
